For over twenty five years, the directors of Care Asset
Management have collectively investigated a wide range
of philosophies and strategies for the effective
management of client investments. Whilst a number
have produced success over the short term, the fundamental issues of consistency and risk management have remained key problems.

With many professional money managers preoccupied in outperforming their peer group rather than delivering consistent returns for their clients, we believe that a strategy based on trying to select the funds which will produce the highest returns in the future is an overly challenging objective.

Consequently, Care Asset Management have determined that the most effective solution to this dilemma is to undertake the management service on behalf of our clients and the company has become one of only 104 Independent Financial Advisers in the UK who are authorised by the Financial Services Authority, to provide a discretionary management service.

On the basis of discussions held with clients over an extended period of time, we have established a clear and precise view of their requirements and these have formed the basis of our investment strategy as summarised below:

    For funds to be allocated in accordance with a detailed assessment of the
      client’s attitude to risk to ensure that funds are not exposed to investments
      which represent either a higher or lower level of risk than they require and
      to ensure that this position is maintained consistently over the longer term.

   To create a flexible investment structure which provides the client with access
      to a wide range of investment management expertise through a number of
      fund managers.

   To provide investment diversification by allocating monies across a range of
      investment managers and supervising those managers to ensure compliance
      within the selection criteria.

   To provide clients with a high level of individual service including regular
      updates and valuations combined with administrative simplicity.
